Sponsor your parents and grandparents
REGULATED CANADIAN IMMIGRATION CONSULTANT (RCIC)

The Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Program is a Canadian immigration program that allows eligible Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents or grandparents to become permanent residents of Canada.
To be eligible for this program, the sponsor must meet certain income requirements and sign a sponsorship agreement with the Canadian government, committing to financially support their parents or grandparents for a certain period of time.
The application process for the Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Program is done through a lottery system, with a limited number of spots available each year. Once selected, the sponsored parents or grandparents must meet certain eligibility requirements, including passing medical and criminal admissibility checks.
How to apply
If you’re invited to apply to sponsor your parents and grandparents, there are 2 applications:
- You must apply to become a sponsor
- Your parents or grandparents must apply for permanent residence
- Submit both the sponsorship and the permanent residence applications online at the same time.
You must submit your application by the deadline set out in your invitation letter.
Note! For the 2022 process, people were invited from the remaining pool of potential sponsors who submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020.
Due to the complexity of the process and the long processing time of applications, we recommend paying attention to the Super Visa. Link to the article→
