It was recently announced that 2,000 skilled workers relocating to Alberta will be able to apply for a one-time payment of 5,000 CAD to offset their relocation costs.
Eligible individuals can apply for this amount starting May 1, 2025.
It is also known that this bonus will not be taxed.
To participate in this program, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older at the time of application;
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Move to Alberta between May 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024;
- Be an Alberta resident for at least 12 consecutive months at the time of application;
- Be an Alberta tax resident as of December 31, 2024;
- Be employed, self-employed, or in an occupation that qualifies for the program;
