Recently, Mark Miller announced that the 2025 federal economic class selection will focus on inviting candidates with Canadian Experience Class experience to apply for permanent residence.
In addition, to meet the immigration goals of French-speaking citizens and urgent needs in the areas of health, trade and education, IRCC will conduct several invitation rounds in the following categories:
✔Candidates with knowledge of French;
✔Health and social services workers (doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, chiropractors);
✔Skilled workers (carpenters, plumbers, contractors);
✔Education sector workers (teachers, caregivers, instructors for people with disabilities).
According to the minister, such measures will provide an opportunity for more temporary residents with certain skills, training and language abilities to move to permanent residence.
