The Government of Quebec has set a maximum number of applications for studies that must be received between February 26, 2025 and February 26, 2026. It is believed that this decision will help reduce the overall number of applications for temporary selection for vocational training, college studies, and stabilize the number of applications to universities.
However, it is worth noting that this change may primarily affect categories of applicants who applied for a CAQ for studies starting February 26, 2025. As well as those who need to obtain a new CAQ for studies in order to extend their stay due to a change in educational institution, level of study, or the extension of an already started college or university program.
